Female victims share their stories of sexual harassment on social media

Sexual harassment at work, Bolton, StokeA recent survey by the Trades Union Congress has revealed that a staggering 52% of all women at work have suffered from sexual harassment in the workplace.

Women stated that they had been subjected to sexual jeers, advances and groping amongst other things.

After the publication of the results which included answers from 1,533 of women who had agreed to take part, some of the female victims took to twitter to share their stories using the hashtag #HarrassedAtWork.

Girls as young as 14 years old revealed they had been subject to sexual harassment at work.

Ten percent of women included in the survey stated after the harassment had occurred they purposefully changed their work habits by avoiding some places or times for instance in order to reduce the risk of it happening again,
