\"DoWe are often asked, “Do I have a case for unfair dismissal?<\/strong>” In the rough and tumble of modern business life, it is more and more common for employees to go thorugh a number of jobs in their working life. Whilst many of these changes are for a change, for increased remuneration or personal advancement, some are forced upon the worker.<\/p>\n

Where an employee has been dismissed, it is important to understand whether this action was justified and legla or whether it has meant that the ‘victim’ has been unfairly treated.<\/p>\n

Unfair dismissal<\/a><\/strong> is when your employment contract is terminated and your employer did not have fair reason to do so. It can also apply where fair reason applied but your dismissal was handled using the wrong procedure.<\/p>\n

You also have to have worked for your employer for at least two years, altough in certain circumstances there are special rules for people who have worked for their employer for less than this.<\/p>\n
